Russia has its share of celebrities : Anna Kournikova, princess Anastasia… and now Maray the cat !
Maray peacefully served as the Serpukhov Museum’s unofficial guardian for a couple of years until his world was turned upside down. When the museum’s staff decided to play an April Fool’s joke on local media, little did they know how far Maray’s story would go.
Two weeks ago, the staff helped Maray write his application letter, which reads “I ask you to give me a job in your museum. Maray the Cat”. Then, the museum sent out a press release to formally accept his application. But the local media took the thing very seriously and journalists started to swarm around the museum and its unusual employee. Eventually, the museum’s staff unanimously decided to turn the appointment into a real thing, and to make Maray their official door-cat.
In a purring Russian accent, this cool cat gave Artnimals his side of this success story. READ THE INTERVIEW HERE.
